15 Vegetarian Protein Ideas

Written on Tuesday, January 21st, 2014

This blog post will be food for thought for all you meat lovers out there as well as for all you vegetarians and animal lovers out there.

For you carnivorous meat eaters, there is no time like the present to start cutting down on animal protein, particularly red meat and to eliminate processed red meat from your diet.

For you vegetarians out there, especially if you have cut out meat for spiritual reasons or for the love of animals, you may not have thought clearly about how to include protein in your diet as opposed to just cutting out meat and replacing it with cheese (yes you know what I’m talking about).

7 Steps to Healthy Skin

Written on Wednesday, April 10th, 2013

Skin conditions may appear trivial on the surface of matters but the issues are more than skin deep. Your skin is your body’s largest organ and anyone that has suffered with skin conditions, including myself, knows that they deeply affect your self confidence, comfort levels and can affect your work and personal life. This in turn can cause stress on top of any existing stress and this can in turn affect your skin and so the viscious cycle continues.

Suffering with skin conditions is what led me on my path to discover the benefits of colon and tissue cleansing and naturopathic nutrition.

After trying the conventional route I realised that the medical industry does not have the solutions for  chronic skin conditions. They only have the plasters and bandages to temporarily mask your condition be it through steroid creams, antibiotics, antihistimines, the contraceptive pill or roaccutane.

My one dream was to feel comfortable in my own skin, the natural way.

I am writing this blog post because I want to share with you the simple solutions that will enable you too to have the skin you once had or the skin you really want to have so that you no longer have to suffer with eczema, psoriasis, acne or dry, itchy, flakey or inflammed skin.

Written on Monday, January 31st, 2011

Did you know that the foods you have eaten all your life and that you eat everyday could be the very foods you are intolerant to? Your daily diet could be wreaking daily havoc.

Foods intolerances, also known as food sensitivities, can develop at any stage in your life, even if those foods have never caused you problems in the past.

While actual food allergies are fairly rare, affecting 2-4% of the population and 6-8% of children, food intolerances affect up to 45% of the adult population.

10 Foods that Help Get Rid of Parasites

Written on Friday, August 13th, 2010

The ideal environment for parasites to live and grow in our bodies is promoted by a diet that includes refined carbohydrates (sugar), raw fish (sushi), undercooked meat (specifically pork) and even inadequately washed fruit and vegetables.

Parasites can cause health problems such as bloating, cramps, diarrhea, allergies, anal itching, anemia, low immune system, mucus or blood in stools and even affect your mood with anxiety or depression. Picking them up is easier than you think: restaurants with poor hygiene, holidays abroad with impure water, pets and animals. Parasites do not just come in form of minute insects but also microscopic bacteria. A common antibiotic used is Ciprodex (available even with a ciprodex coupon) to treat mild symptoms.
